🚩 NetBSD Corner
The NetBSD side of the BSD house: portable, tidy and happy on hardware other systems forgot. Same tone as the rest of TechCommune: real commands, real output, a joke or two, and honest notes about what was and was not tested.
👋 Coming from Linux? Good, that is the plan. NetBSD is simple, portable and well documented. These pages show you what is different, tested on NetBSD 11.1.

How These Pages Work
- NetBSD 11.1. Every command and every piece of output comes from a real run in a virtual machine, so what you see is what you should see.
- Honest about gaps. Anything that was not run is marked "from the documentation, not run here".
- Safe by design. Install NetBSD in a virtual machine and break it as often as you like. It runs happily in a small one.

New to the command line altogether? Linux 101 teaches the shared basics. For everyday tools see Command Line Tips. The other BSDs live in the FreeBSD Corner, the OpenBSD Corner and the NetBSD Corner.
